Holistic, complementary treatments, just for you ...

The holistic principle is that health results from our emotional, physical and spiritual facets working in harmony.

Complementary therapies are designed to be used alongside conventional medicine. Although they are not in themselves cures, their balancing and relaxing effect works holistically to encourage the body to work to it's fullest potential and enable the body to better heal itself.

Traditional Body Massage

Body Massage is ideal for releasing muscular tension, relieving pain and facilitating healing from injury. It can alleviate stress, relax the body and enhance overall wellbeing. It can help with a number of disorders, increasing circulation and encouraging lymph drainage.

The massage I practice utilises several movements which work both superficially and also deeper into the tissue layers.

Warm Bamboo Massage

Using warm bamboo in conjunction with massage is a wonderfully relaxing way to help release congested muscles and relax the nervous system. The warm bamboo sticks are used with deep sliding and compression moves which instantly correct the most congested areas. The treatment can help to relieve muscular tension and muscle spasms, restore joint movement, help restless leg syndrome, eliminate water retention and promote a deep state of relaxation to the body and mind.

Bellabaci (Cupping) Treatment

Bellabaci is a safe modern cupping method which can be carried out stand alone or in conjunction with other massage. Silicone cups are used to exert a gentle-feeling suction which works deeply within the tissue layers - meaning you can gain the benefits of a deep tissue massage, yet still enjoy a wonderfully relaxing experience. It can help with pain, muscular tension, migraine, asthma and sinus problems as well as reducing cellulite, fine lines and wrinkles - a natural facelift.

Reflexology

Reflexology uses specific pressure techniques to work precise reflex points, most commonly on the feet, but also on the hands. It is based upon the ancient theory that these reflexes are like a body map and relate to every organ, gland and body part. By treating them we can help to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms, which enable the body's systems to rebalance themselves more effectively.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage uses a variety of soothing and invigorating techniques which cover not only the head and face, but other areas prone to stress such as the neck, arms and shoulders.

It may improve scalp, skin and hair condition, relieve postural discomfort and muscular tension, increase flexibility, aid efficient toxin elimination, reduce stress, improve sleep disorders, aid concentration, and encourage mood elevation.

Hopi Ear Candling (Thermo Auricular Therapy) with face and head massage

Ear Candling is a wonderfully relaxing, non-invasive treatment of the ears. The "candle" is gently inserted into the ear, lit and gently held in place throughout.

Physically the treatment may help with sinus congestion, ear ache, glue ear, headaches, allergy symptoms, tinnitus, and snoring. Psychologically it may help to reduce stress, encourage clearer thinking and help to improve concentration.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. It is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved from ancient teachings in Japan.

During the treatment I act as a channel for Reiki, the energy being drawn by the need or imbalance within you. It is a non-intrusive, intuitively given hands-free treatment.

If you have any questions or would like to book, I'm always happy to help!
